Biofilms: new methods of attack

In your body they are found on your teeth, in your blood, in your lungs, in fact nearly every surface that has fluid moving over it. In the environment, biofilms conspicuously grow on the outside of boats and build up inside pipes. But what are they made of, and why are they such a problem?”
